Memorial Day Commemoration 2008 (Photo credit: davidyuweb) |
On this Memorial Day, 2012, we thank all those who have served our country. We have no shortage of heroes.
Those
who were killed in service of our country, we salute you today. To
those who were injured, today we urge our representatives to ensure that
you get all the medical and other care you need. This blog focuses on kids with disabilities, but adults are also often disabled, sometimes as a result of war. We owe it to our wounded warriors to ensure that we take care of them. It really is the least that we can do.
Happy Memorial Day.
Happy Memorial Day.

ReplyDeleteWell said. More often than one would hope, returning soldiers are forgotten about. Whether dismissed by government agencies due to lack of funding or otherwise, all too often I see returning troops largely ignored, maybe granted a 10-minute slot on the evening news, but rarely celebrated as much as one would hope. And disabilities, especially PTSD, frequently are left, sadly, untreated.
ReplyDeleteWe all unite in remembering our fallen heroes and those who continue to fight. A wonderful tribute. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne
