Weekly Question!
Dispute Resolution is at the heart of the Procedural safeguards provided by the Individuals With Disabilities Education Act. Which dispute resolution methods under IDEA have you had the most success with? Leave your story in the comments.
That is an interesting comment given that the federal regs state that the mediator must be selected on a "random, rotational, or other impartial basis," unless BOTH parties agree to a particular mediator.
Mediation. Problem is that school must agree to it. It can help that you can request a specific mediator.

ReplyDeleteSome states allow the parties to agree to a mediator as their other impartial basis; I assume that this is what cnoe means.
